ASL Tutoring
Using the nationally acclaimed curriculum Signing Naturally,
Kathy MacMillan offers private tutoring for individuals and
families, tailored to your schedule and learning needs.
Fee:
Single student: $50 per hour
Additional students: $8 per student per hour (5 students maximum)
(For groups larger than 5, please see Classes By Request)
Policies:
Cancellations: Tutoring sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice for
any reason will be billed for the total time scheduled including any applicable
mileage. This also applies to any tutoring sessions ending early at the request
of the tutee.
Payment: For bi-weekly and irregularly scheduled sessions, payment in the
form of cash or a check made out to Kathy MacMillan is due upon the
completion of each session. Tutees who schedule regular weekly sessions on
an ongoing basis may elect to pay at the end of each session or be billed on a
monthly basis.
No-shows: In the event of a no-show by the tutee, tutor will make every
effort to contact tutee. If the tutor cannot reach the tutee, she will wait for 20
minutes past the agreed-upon starting time. In the event of a no-show by the
tutee, the tutoring session will be billed at the full price including mileage.
Rescheduling missed sessions may be negotiated, but no-shows and
cancellations without 24 hours notice will be still billed at the full price
including any applicable mileage.
Tutor Punctuality: In the event that the tutor is late for any reason by 10
minutes or more, $7.00 per each 10 minutes past the scheduled time will be
deducted from the fee charged, and the tutee will have the option of making
up the missed time at the end of the session or adding it onto a future session
at no charge.
Mileage: A fee for mileage may be charged for travel to areas more than 20
miles from the tutor's home. If such a fee is required, round-trip mileage will
be charged according to the current IRS business mileage rate.
Collection Fees: Attorney’s fees and court costs will be added to the balance
due if necessary to collect.
Proceeding with contractual agreement implies acceptance of terms.
